Right on the square there is the Stiozzi Ridolfi Palace (XIV cent.) with its facade made of bricks and with elegant arcades full of terracotta decorations The palace still has some medieval signs such as the windows and the battlements. It is also composed by the great door (XVI cent.) and by two towers, one in the front and the other on Costa Alberti. The Palace has been completely restored by respecting its original structure. The interior court (XIII cent.) is very interesting with columns and capitals in tufaceous stone. The atmosphere is elegant and refined and it’s possible to spend here very quiet holidays. Just behind the hill there is a big park that includes the road which turns around the walls, closed in 1896. And it is here, in this country-side that in Summer we still can see fireflies shining in fields.
